Project description:

The idea for the training course came from the experience of organising various international projects and the challenge to organise strong and long-term follow-up. For one week young people from 15 different member organisations, gathered in Valmiera, Latvia. They talked about the importance of planning projects which would have a long lasting and measurable impact (either on the local communities or international level). The training provided space for the participants to share successful stories of follow-up and to discuss the methods that can help in keeping alive the interest of youth in the various projects.
An essential part of the training was sharing and learning various tools of dissemination and visibility. One of the highlights of the training was a day dedicated to group work and creativity. It consisted of different actions from each group, which would make the training and its aim visible, not only in the city of Valmiera but also internationally through social media. Furthermore, during the last days the participants worked in groups on the different projects and the follow-ups that they would afterwards propose to include in the 2015 Work Plan of YEE.
