This summer three big international events will take place in Germany to defend the environment and reclaim alternative energy and agricultural policies:Reclaim-Power

As we all know, there's been an economic meltdown recently. Charities have suffered. Many campaigns have become openly desperate as they compete for available funds. Their campaigning style is brutally honest: children are starving; people are dying; rainforests are being cut down. This is reality and they need our money now. These campaigns include depressing pictures and worrying facts. It's the cold hard truth. People are compassionate and many will donate to these campaigns but they don't want to think about it for the rest of the day. People don't want to feel sad.

Involving young people in protected area management

Connecting youth across Europe is the idea of the EUROPARC International Junior Ranger Programme – a youth environmental education programme that inspires young people con re-connect with nature and learn about the importance of protected areas.

The Junior Ranger Context

Young people are at the heart of the local communities living in and around protected areas. They are also the future advocates, guardians and potential employees of these areas. Our programme aims to provide young people with the opportunity to participate in protected areas with the idea to educate people about nature. At the same time, the programme wants to enhance their understanding about the protection of natural and cultural resources.

On 19 September 2012, Gilles-Eric Séralini and his colleagues published a sensational study that, in their opinion, brought to the fore clear indications that genetically modified crops and Roundup are dangerous to health. Media across the world picked up on this report and published disturbing photos of rats with enormous tumors. As we say today, the story "went viral." Let's look to the cause now, with a few months distance and maybe with a new perspective.
