What are we working on
The Project Lead of the Energy Project will lead the entire project, working full-time 40h/week. The candidate will work closely with the Sustainable Energy Liaison Officer and will be part of the advocacy team.
The project will focus mainly on the:
- Phasing out of Fossil Fuels and shifting to Renewable Energy
- The management of the energy transition through the energy crisis in different countries
Main countries that we will focus on: Germany, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, Denmark and Finland
What the job will entail:
- Capacity building by bringing together groups of young people and familiarizing them with the current developments on the energy field through non formal educational trainings
- Increase awareness on how to influence decision-making processes in the energy sector by e.g. writing articles
- Engage youth and familiarize them with the concept of fair just transition
- Hold an in person training on energy transition
- Create a campaign by gathering youth’s perspectives
- Conduct research on the above mentioned topics and target-countries
- Host youth energy network workshops in order to create strong long-term partnerships with other energy related youth organizations
- Advocacy on the role of youth in the management of the energy crisis
- Participate in international and European energy related events and fora
- Supporting in the organization of online, non-formal education workshops through e.g. contacting experts and organizing the agenda
- Contributing to writing funding proposals and reports to funders (at the end of the mandate);
- Attending weekly internal meetings with the Secretariat and the Advocacy Team;
- Supporting the Advocacy Team on weekly tasks;
Who are we looking for:
- Must be under the age of 35 during their employment with YEE
- The candidate is required to be based in Europe;
- The candidate commits to the values of YEE;
- The candidate will be available for 12 months (from January 2023 to the December 2023) for 40 hours per week;
- The candidate can understand, write and conversate fluently in English;
