Chloe Ten Brink

Chloé ten Brink

Strategic Communications Coordinator

Hi! I’m Chloé and I am from Belgium.

Chloé, tell us a bit more about yourself!

My background is in Political Humanities (a mix of History, Sociology, Political Science… and more!) which I studied at Sciences Po in France. As someone who also loves art, design and literature, I am particularly drawn to the challenge of communicating the climate crisis, as well as engaging and educating young people.

I joined YEE in 2020 as an advocacy volunteer and helped set up the Advocacy Working Group and also joined the Board as External Relations in 2021. It’s been an exciting journey so far!

What are some of the causes you care about?

The climate crisis of course, maintaining (or creating) healthier ecosystems and resilient communities, the accessibility of education and culture to name a few!

What do you hope the world will look like in 2050?

I hope for a world not in crisis, a world which is diverse, full of art and joy, with policies that promote health, well-being and justice. I hope community spirit will be stronger and we have moved beyond the hyper-consumeristic mindset.

If you could time-travel, what era would you like to visit and why?

I think it would be the late 19th, early 20th century as growing up many of my favourite books were set in that era and it would be slightly magical to experience their world! That being said, part of me wants to jump into the future and get a glimpse!

What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?

Drawing or getting messy with paint and collage, travelling and discovering new cities (preferably with a camera in hand) and cooking with friends and good music!

Give us one quote that describes your personality, or that you simply love!

‘The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper’  W.B. Yeats
