Tetiana Stadnyk
Secretary General
Hi! My name is Tanya and I come from Ukraine.
Tanya, tell us a bit more about yourself!
My background is in management of projects and people, both in commercial and non-profit initiatives for non-formal and online education. Since 2014, I have managed projects and events for the US Peace Corps in Ukraine, Music Export Ukraine, the Creative Europe programme, European Geography Association, and Skyeng — the largest EdTech company and educational software developer in Eastern Europe. Understanding the urgency of the climate and biodiversity crisis, I joined YEE to contribute to the youth advocacy for better environmental policies.
I joined YEE in 2019, first as a Finance and Office Coordinator, to support young activists in building a strong European youth climate and environmental movement. I serve as a Secretary General at YEE since 2020. I work on administration, finance, HR management and helping the Board of the network with the governance.
What are some of the causes you care about?
Climate & biodiversity crisis, human rights, wider democratic representation and better policies for all.
What do you hope the world will look like in 2050?
I hope for 1,5°C, a well-being economy and universal basic income for all. I also hope that people will be done with wars and will value space exploration much less than the Earth preservation.
If you could time-travel, what era would you like to visit and why?
The time before the first agricultural revolution — I would love to learn how to navigate in nature and to truly appreciate the value it has.
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
Reading books and listening to music, playing board games and travelling with friends, cleaning my home and watching interviews .
Give us one quote that describes your personality, or that you simply love!
