YEE member organisations Balta Daba (Latvia) and OPE (Portugal) are happy to present their booklet "Youth involvement in river protection - methods"! The publication is the result of their cooperation within the project "RIVER reMEMBERS", which aims to encourage young people's active citizenship for the protection of Europe's rivers. The project involved 10 young people from Latvia and Portugal who made research on dam problems on rivers, organised workshops and local seminars about river protection.

The publication is a useful support in environmental youth work. It gives concrete examples of methods on how young people can be involved in river protection activities. Many of the methods described in the booklet have been tested within Balta Daba's and OPE's workshops and they are very diverse - from simple activities of raising awareness to more complex ones that require more time and practical work for river protection.
