New EVS volunteers at YEE

YEE is happy to welcome two new EVS volunteers: Coline and Cristian. They arrived at Prague on 31 August and will stay here for the next 12 months. Read below to find out more about them. You can read more about EVS project in YEE here.

Hello! My name is Cristian, I come from Italy and I`ll be the new YEE volunteer for the next 12 months.

Even if I arrived in Czech Republic just four days ago, I already feel like home: my colleagues are extremely nice and helpful, Toulcův dvůr is a very fascinating site and Prague... well, when a man is tired of Prague, he is tired of life, for there is in Prague all that life can afford!

Since premises are so good, my expectations for my EVS have even increased: discovering and taking part in YEE`s projects and campaigns, getting involved in Toulcův dvůr`s events, broadening my knowledge in the area of environmental issues and meeting new people through EVS trainings are definitely on my list of things to do! On the other hand, I hope my small contribution could represent a precious ingredient for the success of YEE activities!

“It is in man's heart that the life of nature's spectacle exists; to see it, one must feel it.”

Stay tuned!

My name is Coline, I come from France but I will be Czech by adoption for a whole year whilst I will be working for YEE.

After having studying political science and political theory for 5 years in France (with one year in Erasmus in Prague), I wanted to be practically useful. I am very concerned about environmental issues... and that is why I am here! I hope to deepen my personal reflection on environmental protection and to take part in meaningful and innovative collective projects with YEE (and I am sure that I won’t be disappointed!).

I am also looking forward to meeting different and interesting people, to improve my Czech, to making cultural and natural discoveries (I intend to walk a lot in the vibrant Czech nature) and to learn new skills (among them: recognizing edible plants, and learning vegan cooking and harmonica).

What a great feeling to be back to Prague, with this really exciting project to contribute to! I am glad to be a part of the YEE team which is very nice and welcoming, and I hope to do my best!
