During the first week-end of February, YEE office was up and running! We were working hard for our new project “Active youth – better environment!”, aimed at fostering youth participation on environmental issues.

This project will include two training courses – “Youth exploring participation”, aimed to develop some theoretical tools and knowledge on youth participation and how to foster it in youth organisations, and “Youth for environmental future”, that will explore the topic of youth participation in environmental decision-making.

The project will be closed by a campaign “Take a green stand”, that will foster the development of local activities for young people, connected with international agreements and legislations regarding the environment and climate change.

Between the 2nd and the 4th of February, the preparatory team gathered in YEE office in Prague for establishing the program and selecting participants for the first training course, dividing the tasks and discussing about the next steps of the project.

This week-end was not only about working! It was also an opportunity to get to know each other a bit more. The working time was punctuated by relaxing coffee breaks, nice walks in Toulcuv Dvur and evenings in the centre of Prague.

This weekend was productive and we are very excited about the next few months! More information about our project coming very soon, stay tuned!
