Every jump team is welcome to sign up on www.bigjumpchallenge.net and be part of the movement. There will also be a competition for the most creative event, in which only German teams up to 25 years can participate.
The Big Jump Challenge is initiated by the socio-ecological research group GETIDOS together with its partners Grüne Liga e.V., Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V., Viva con Aqua de St. Pauli e.V., CISV Germany and the Global Nature Fund. . On June 16th hundreds of young people take action for water conservation. They jump into their lakes and rivers at the same time to attract public attention.
A Europe wide competition is planned for 2015. This year the three winning teams from Germany, selected by a jury, will participate in a river parliament in Berlin, where they discuss their actions and demands for water conservation with members of the German parliament.
