Meet our future volunteers:

Hello, my name is Roxana. There are many things that could define me. One could say that I am a mountain girl, since my hometown is surrounded by mountains and I love hiking. From another point of view, I am an advertising enthusiast, as I have been a student in this field for four years now. Moreover, I am an amateur photographer and a restless traveller. I am always in search of new challenges and experiences that make me learn something about myself, about other people and about the world.

For me, being an EVS volunteer will be the greatest adventure so far. I am extremely excited that the YEE team has chosen me to join them because I feel that it is the ideal place for me to grow, by getting involved in youth projects, community actions and activities concerning the environment and healthy living. I am confident that my time spent as a volunteer within YEE would enrich my life experience, would allow me to meet a lot of interesting people and would show me what is like to be part of an international organization. What is more, I cannot wait to discover Prague's secrets and to get a taste of its beauty – its language and culture, its mysterious streets and bridges, its sounds and silence.

Roxana Nica


'Hello! I am Kristina, from Albania. I was born in a small city in the south of Albania. Since three years I live in Tirana, studying Environmental Engineering. I love nature especially the mountains, I am a hiker and speleologist and recently started climbing. I am contemplator of life and the universe, travelling, painting, dancing are some of my passions.
I have been an activist and volunteer for three years in EDEN (Environmental Center for Development Education and Networking) which is partner organization with YEE and that's where I read about the EVS opportunity. After my bachelor, this September, I decided I need a year break, so I make up my mind which will be the profile I will choose for my master studies since I am in between nature conservation, climate change governance or sustainable mountain tourism, and the best way to decide is by working on the field of environment.
I read about YEE and I noticed that it has a lot of experience with volunteers, and very interesting projects about the environment, so I applied hoping that I would be chosen and I was. And now I am just waiting forward to make the best out of this opportunity and meet nice and inspiring people.'
