Christmas is celebrated by many of our members across Europe. If you plan to buy Christmas gifts this year, don't forget to pick them carefully.

It is easy to buy things in Europe that are not made ethically. At YEE we try to avoid sweatshop made and unsustainable products. We do not want gifts that have abused the environment or human rights.

It is 14 days till Christmas. There is still time to find ethically made gifts.

Click on the links for inspiration. It is very difficult to find a 'perfect' gift that ticks all the boxes. Maybe it is fair trade and recycled but not locally produced. Maybe it isn't perfect but it is considerably better than some options.

Hipcycle (upcycled gifts. also great inspiration to make your own!)

Etsy (international marketplace for handmade products. Search 'eco' or 'organic' etc. for gifts. Search for local artists in your area.)

Oxfam (also has websites in Spanish, German, Italian, French and Dutch. Donate towards great projects on behalf of a friend)

Traidcraft (fighting poverty through fair trade. A great place for finding links to small businesses in developing countries)

People in Need Czech Republic (buy goats, fruit trees and more for people in need)

Rapanui Eco Fashion UK(eco textiles and inks, non sweatshop, award winning traceability)

Mama Coffee Czech Republic (organic, fair trade coffees and chocolates)
