It is crazy, but one third of my EVS has already passed so it is time to summarize what happened to me so far. It is clear that, joining the team of an environmental organisation, such as YEE was a really great opportunity for me. During the first 4 months, I could get a tons of new experiences and new skills.

First of all, how to work on many different tasks together in a completely international atmosphere in our cozy office. I could see behind the organisational process of Youth Exchanges, Training Courses and local actions or how some of our several campaigns were promoted and managed. I could also learn the basics of photo editing and how to edit and update our website and take part in the creation of a new booklet too. All in all, I could try and test myself in many various tasks so far, even gardening, as I planted my first tomatoes and zucchinis in my life in our rooftop garden.

About living in Prague: fortunately, Prague is full of expats so it is quite easy to meet new inspiring and interesting people from all around the world and get many new friends. What is also an advantage of Prague that the nightlife is really vibrant that's why there is always some good program or occasion to go out and hang out with others.

Czech people are also really kind, especially when I try to communicate with them by using their tricky language which is going surprisingly quite well on a really basic level after 4 months. Last, but not least, I have the feeling that Czech people know how to enjoy life's little pleasures, like just sitting in the cobblestone streets of Prague or a beer garden, eating the Czech Camembert, the Hermelin cheese, drinking the cheap, but tasty beers and chit-chatting about nothing and everything.

I think for me it wasn't really challenging to get use to my new life here, maybe because I got some experience before in living abroad or maybe because Prague is similar to my hometown, Budapest, I don't know, but I can say that I quite feel like home.
