EVS Mid-term training in Vimperk

vimperk groupsmallFrom 2 to 6th of September, Vladimir and I went to Vimperk in order to take part in our EVS Mid-term training and meet again the other EVS volunteers from all around Czech Republic.

On the arrival day, all of us had the possibility to present some highlights of our EVS project by showing two pictures to the others. I dare to say, we could be amazed by various experiences of the other volunteers and it seemed that everybody had a great fun during the previous months. Luckily, our nice hotel was situated next to a bowling alley so it was obvious to spend the night by competing and showing our (non)proficiency.

The theme of our first full day was the past. We had enough space and activities to look back and reflect on what has happened during our EVS so far. It was a good way for us to share with each other what we've done, what we are proud of, the challenges of our projects, all in all - our stories and impressions.

The topic of our second day was the present and we mostly discussed about our personal project plans. It was really good to see the motivation and enthusiasm of the others and we could easily get inspired by each other. In the afternoon, we took a lovely little train and went to a big hike in the beautiful forest of Sumava.bowlingsmall

The third full day was about the future. As for me, this day gave me the most as it helped me to concrete my desires and priorities. Moreover, the future planning sessions made me bear in mind that EVS is "just" a station of our bigger journey which can develop and prepare us to reach what we really want from our future.

All in all, I am convinced that the training could give me a lot of memorable moments, open talks with the other participants and new ideas, inspirations regarding what I can do in the 6 months I have left as an EVS volunteer.
