As volunteers of YEE, one of our tasks is to make promotion of the organization, its activities and campaigns in local events which take place in Prague. That is what we did during the NGO market and the Day of the Earth in Toulcuv Dvur.

We informed interested people about YEE and its activities, with the help of some brochures and an entertaining quiz about the organization. We could also discover many NGOs which work in Prague in the field of environment and on many other issues, such as social integration, education or human rights.

Just one day after, on Saturday 30th of April, the Day of the Earth took place in Toulcuv Dvur. Organisations located in the ecological center prepared various workshops, games and presentations of their activities for children as well as adult visitors. As you know, YEE office is in Toulcuv Dvur, therefore, we also had our stand in this event.

Following what we learnt in the Youth Exchange ‘Learning from each other', we built a solar oven and showed people how they can cook an apple without electricity. We also had the chance to visit other interesting stands of other organizations and take part in some workshops, like bird ringing or an activity with bees.

YEE works with member organizations from 28 different countries, mostly outside the Czech Republic. That is why it is nice to have the opportunity to show our organization to people who are around us in Prague.
