All EVS volunteers know about two trainings that they need to attend during their project.
First is an on arrival training and the secon d is a mide-term evaluation. I came to Prague in May but my on arrival happened in the end of September. I spent 5 days with 24 other EVS volunteers from different countries in a remote farm close to Ceske Budejovice. This training was a good opportunity for us to find out more about Czech Republic, Youth in Action programme and also learn more about each others' projects and share our experience with others. We also did some interesting team-building activities where we had to work in a group to climb over hanging tyre or crawl over web without touching it.
During our free time we could explore the surroudings, pick up mushrooms (which was also in a way getting to know Czech traditions), talk with each other, play games but also think about our projects and what we can do and learn during the first six months of the project. We also went on a trip to Cesky Krumlov where we had to do some funny tasks like taking a picture of someone's fridge. Well, at least we managed to practice our Czech.

This on arrival was a beginning of the EVS project for some people, for me it was a bit more an opportunity to have a look back at the time I spent in Prague already and think about what I want to achieve and learn till next May. Our group had to say goodbye and go to their homes in Czech Republic but we will meet again in January for our mid-term evaluation meeting.
