There is a tradition in YEE. EVS volunteers can organize a volunteering action in Toulcuv Dvur with Tamjden. It is a Czech NGO that organizes volunteering services during weekends. It gives the opportunity to the Czechs and foreigners to meet; and to spend weekends doing outdoor activities.

On 2nd of November, Jessica and me organized one of those actions in Toulcuv Dvur. 15 people of different nationalities helped with Autumn gardening activities like cleaning leaves, feeding rabbits, repairing paths and arranging the museum exposition. There were people from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Greece, Germany and UK.

It gave me the opportunity to learn how to organize events and to cooperate with other organizations. This volunteering service helps YEE to stretch our cooperation with the farm and to give the opportunity to young people to visit Toulcuv Dvur, participate in its activities and meet new people. Foreigners do not have too much opportunities to meet locals often and for the Czechs can practice speaking English. But also Prague is a very big city where it is not easy to enjoy the nature and Toulcuv Dvur is a "green paradise" in the city.

Since Tajdem was organized on a date close to 5th of November, we remembered the British tradition of Guy Fawkes Night as Jessica suggested. Therefore to celebrate and thanks the participants, at the end we had a bonfire. It finished very late because the volunteers had interesting chats, drank wine and baked food.
