On the 6th of December, a group of about 50 Ecoclubes' members gathered to go for a study visit to Quinta Ecológica da Moita. This is a project run by the Portuguese organisation ASPEA, in the region of Aveiro, which includes an environmental education center (being reconstructed in an old farm house, as you can see in the photo), a small forest of local species, some ponds, community farming fields and an educational apiary (bee yard).

This visit came as a good opportunity for us to continue with the Right to Be(e) Campaign, especially because we've dedicated the afternoon to a workshop on this subject, including a specific visit to the beehives of the educational apiary (bee yard) that is being implemented there.

That day, we also gave a kind of a kick-start to the most recent networking project Insecta Rules, which has the aim of focusing on the biodiversity of insects and their importance to the ecosystems, so we've also took some time to help each ecoclub with the choice of its own species of insect to "adopt" during this project.
