Dear members and readers,
we're the FÖJ-AKTIV e.V., and we are an organization that supports the German ecological volunteer service by connecting and supporting volunteers. Every year about 3000 youths decide to do such a service and volunteer in projects, organizations, schools, offices and other places more with ecological and nature-protecting background – mostly in Germany, but also some other countries that are our neighbors.

The FÖJ is also an educational service, and all volunteers participate in 5 seminars throughout the year about different topics connected to nature, environment, people, resources... and because of all their excitement they are planning actions and (peaceful) demonstrations. We want to let you know about our upcoming events – you are invited to join:

On April, 23rd our „Bundesaktionstag" (national action day) takes place – this year we meet in Berlin and want to make people and pedestrians aware of consuming (too much?), producing (too much!) and the mentality of throwing away goods (too early, too good ones, and: too much!). We will do that in the way of role plays about several specific topics that have to do with the main one.

On June, 5th, the Silent Climate Parade will take place in Mainz again. We will march (silently) with headphones, dancing to the music that only we can hear, being without any noise to the other people, being silent and peaceful for our climate. In the last years we have had big headphone parties... have you ever danced to music that only you could hear? No? Try it out.

And, also during summertime, our Grün Rockt (Green Rocks) Festival can be enjoyed again.
Live music, live cooking, live tree climbing, live dancing, live eco-being, live living.
Last year more than 5.000 people came to the festival in Rheinland-Pfalz, and listened to many different live bands, informed themselves about ecological and social topics (many organizations will have information points and members to talk to and discuss with there), enjoyed shared, saved, organic, vegan food, and just came together to be with each other.
