YEE has many reasons to celebrate!

Lately many of our projects were approved.

• Administrative grant from EACEA
• Training Course 'Youth participation for environment' applied by Hnuti Brontosaurus that will take place in July in the Czech Republic
• Training Course 'Women for the planet' applied by EPEKA that will take place in June in Slovenia

YEE's new campaign The Right to Be(e) started!

It aims to attract more attention to the problem of disappearing and well-being of honey bees in Europe.
We invite everyone to join us on the weekend of 20-21 April for all European planting actions.
Let's celebrate the Day of Earth by planting beautiful flowers which will provide food sources for bees.

How to join the campaign?

• Write us an email
• Buy some nice plants in pots or seeds
• Find a suitable place for them in your city
• Invite your friends and as many people as you can
• Plant the flowers together and have a nice time outside in spring sun
• Send us the pictures from your planting action and we will add them to the interactive map.

YEE is a member of OCEAN2012, a coalition of 180 diverse organisations throughout the EU supporting an ambitious reform of the EU's Common Fisheries Policy, CFP.

Now it's a crucial time for the Common Fisheries Policy reform process - the trialogue negotiations between EP, EC and Fisheries Council will start only in 3 weeks!

YEE is convinced that the CFP reform is a historic opportunity to end overfishing and restore fish stocks.

On February 6th the European Parliament voted 502 vs. 137 for a CFP which would allow fish stocks to recover and secure a future for coastal communities. This was a decisive response to the public call to end 40 years of failed EU fisheries management.

The reform of the CFP is an opportunity to promote measures that would recover fish stocks, ensure a sustainable source of seafood and a viable future for fisheries dependent communities.

That is why YEE translated a letter to the Minister in the Czech Republic and decided to lobby for an ambitious reform of the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy. Let's hope it will help!
