Take 5 YEE people, travelling from Czech Republic, Germany and Georgia to Budapest to attend the “NGO Island” of one of the biggest festivals in Europe…

…The result? A week of games and discussions about environment and youth participation, meeting interesting people from all around Europe, sharing opinions on sustainable development, discovering how music and culture bring people together, sharing the belief that young people can have the power to raise their voice. Not only for singing along their favourite bands, but also for expressing what they believe in and acting for it.

With the 12th of August as the International Youth Day, STEP awards Youth involvement throughout this month. We invite young people across Europe to STEP up and make their opinions known at EU level!

How? By joining the STEP contest!

There are 3 simple steps to follow to participate in the contest:

Ready to make a STEP closer to e-participation? Join us in Budapest!

YEE will be present in the NGO Island of Sziget Festival, which will take place in Budapest from 9 to 15 August 2017.

Throughout the week, the YEE team will organise activities that aim to promote youth participation and e-participation in environmental issues, but also to raise environmental awareness on topics such as sustainable development or climate change.

In the beginning of July Luonto-Liitto, with support of YEE, organised the training course “International Environmental Action Days”. The training course took place in wonderful natural protected area Uutela in the beautiful house Meriharju in Helsinki, Finland.

For one week, from 8 to 14 July 2017, young people from different countries gathered together to train their skills in campaigning. Organisers prepared full and interesting programme: every day participants had a chance to meet with experts of different fields, strengthen new skills during practical workshops, try their creativity while making videos and as the culmination of the week, to work out the concept of the campaign on the topic they are concerned about.
