Training course "Follow-up and impact in international projects" took place on 8-15 August in Valmiera, Latvia. The main reason of organising such a training was the big experience of YEE and our Member organisations in working on international projects and realising the need of projects to have a planned follow-up since the moment of planning the project.

The training course gathered together young people from 15 different member organisations, to discuss and share various methods of successful follow-up activities which could increase the impact on the local or international level. The learning methods were mainly based on group work and group discussions.Visibility and dissemination covered a considerable part of the programme as these are the two terms which the Erasmus+ programme considers to be essential in projects.

After several sessions of discussing how to make projects visible and to disseminate the results, the participants
were challenged to do so with the project they were currently taking part in.Divided in groups, they had to find a creative way to raise the visibility of the project. The groups came up with various ideas: some decided to go the town of Valmiera and sing the "Follow-up" song to promote the event, another group made interviews with the participants, while others made creative and funny internet memes with a message about the training course. The other group made a video message for the event and asked young people online to respond with a comment or a video, since the day was corresponding with the UN International Youth Day.
During the last days the participants were brainstorming on project ideas while also thinking how to organise a project with a strong follow-up activities.

The event was hosted by YEE Latvian Member Organisation BALTA DABA. It took place in Baili Center in midst of beautiful Latvian nature in the forest and near the Gauja river.
