Project description:

The youth exchange "Postcards from nature" brought together young creative people that used art as a tool to discover nature through creating postcards. Postcards were: photos, sketches, paintings, installations, etc. using elements from the natural and cultural environment. We wanted to provide knowledge to young people on the importance and values that natural resources have on the environment or ecosystem.

This youth exchange addressed young people with the interest to raise their knowledge about natural resources and their role in the environment, to contribute by sharing experience with other young people.

Aims and objectives:

Aims:

• to explore ways of promoting awareness about the value of natural resources in the environment and ecosystems, through art and creative tools;
• to increase knowledge and interest of young people in environment through new creative methods of environmental education.

Objectives:

• to explore and practice art and creative tools as methods of environmental education;
• to increase knowledge of young people on natural resources and environment, their importance on local and international level and our everyday life;
• to share knowledge and experiences from various countries on using art to raise awareness on environmental issues;
• to provide common space for young people to stimulate new ideas that encourage cooperation on future projects;
• to enable new ways of promotion of environmental values.
