Youth and Environment Europe attended the meeting organized by the European Youth Foundation in the European Youth Center in Strasbourg from 11 to 14 of March 2014.

Last year, in February 2013, the European Youth Foundation organized a meeting for representatives of international and local youth organisations in order to exchange ideas and feedback on the upcoming new online system of grants.

After they launched the new system and organisations had the chance to work with it by submitting applications, EYF organized a meeting in order to receive some feedback. This time they only invited representatives of international NGOs.

During those 4 days we had the chance to meet EYF team, exchange feedback, learn how the foundation works, find out about the different kind of grants available and get some tips on how to write good applications for funding and reports of projects.

One of the main messages that the EYF team wanted to transmit to the participants of the meeting was that the EYF is seeking for a two-way communication with the youth NGOs that are supported by them. They would like to have a regular and honest communication with us.

The second main point was that the EYF doesn't want to just support financially youth NGOs, but also to be our partner. They want to know what we are doing and get involved in our work.

Finally, the meeting was a great opportunity for all of us, representatives of international youth NGOs, to network, exchange ideas and get some inspiration for our every day work and future projects.
