This year's Earth Day theme was Billion Acts of Green®. The purpose of it was to mobilize one billion acts of environmental service around the world. In collaboration with American Embassy and Tirana Municipality, EDEN center (YEE member organisation) organized (like every year) two events on the occasion of this celebration which is the world's largest-ever environmental service movement. This was the 7th consecutive year that Earth Day was celebrated in Tirana and this year also for the first time in Divjaka-Karavasta National Park.

An exhibition with pictures which showed the importance of water and the impact of plastic bags on nature was opened to public during the event and some pictures from different Earth Days over the years were shown.

Divjaka - Karavasta Lagoon, National Park
On April 22nd, the environmental event was organized (in collaboration with Divjaka Municipality) and celebrated in one of the most beautiful protected areas in our country. Photos with the beauties of the area, photos and videos of touristic routs which have been defined during the project ‘Karavasta Lagoon, back to life' was projected during the entire event.
A short Nature Guide trip in the National Park was organized for the invitees. The walk was guided by the New Nature Guides of Divjaka, a group created within the project. Also cotton bags were painted by the participants during the event and then the bags were sold to the participants.
