How old/young are you?

I was born on the 23th of February, just a couple of days before the Armenian spring would start to show its flourishing beauty. And I have seen that beauty for about 28 times ;)

Where do you live?

I live in my hometown, i.e. in the 2793 year-old Yerevan, which became the capital of Armenia in 1918 after the World War I.

What do you do (studies, work, etc)?

I'm a psychologist and my main job is psychological counselling in other NGO, but at Stepanavan Youth Center I'm a trainer in the frame of GLOW project. Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) is a yearlong leadership program for Armenian girls at the age of 12-17. During the project I carry out sessions on different topics, such as personal development, gender, health, HIV/AIDS, environmental education, career planning, peer education, and leadership. I like that project because it provides personal development for those young girls and helps them to fulfill their inner potential. I spend my leisure time on travelling and meeting new cultures, as well as getting familiar with arts and different sciences, such as astronomy. I like science and arts because together they have complete approach towards the nature, both represented thorough interpretation of the nature, the first from the cognitive, and the second one from emotional side.

Which YEE Member Organization are you member of? What are your organization's main activities?

I'm a member of Stepanavan Youth Center, a non-profit, non-governmental organization in Stepanavan, Armenia. It has several spheres of activities, which are: Leadership and Volunteering, Environmental Action, Social Development, Cultural Exchanges. All the activities in those spheres are done by the trainings, media campaigns, seminars, publications, peer education, international events (sending and hosting), summer camps, exchange programs, publications, networking and others.

Why did you want to become a member of the YEE board?

I wanted to be a part of an important international group, where I would be able to share the ideas about environmental concerns and promote them to carry out their annual joint activities.

What is your main aim as 2011-2012 Board Member?

I have an intention to promote YEE with its activities and create positive and pleasant physical and psychological atmosphere :)

Which environmental problem worries you the most?

Pollution! I get disappointed, even angry when I see that people don't respect their home.

What is your favorite place in nature?

I like all the places on this big home which is called THE EARTH, starting from the highest mountains till the depths of the oceans, from the dark forests till the deserts, from the north pole till the south one. For me the only perfect thing on this earth is NATURE.
