How old/young are you?

I cannot remember, it changes every year... :-D I was born in 1988, you can count it.

Where do you live?

Nowadays, I spend most of time in Prague because I study there. Officially I live in Vysoké Mýto, small town, you probably don't know it (and to say the truth, there is not much to know about this town). But I call "home" every place, where is my sleeping bag ;-)

What do you do (studies, work, etc)?

My work, my studies and also my big love are connected in one word - biochemistry.
Beside that I try to fulfill my leisure time as meaningfully as possible, in short: voluntary work, protecting nature, sports, reading, handmade, arts, etc.

Which YEE Member Organization are you member of? What are your organization's main activities?

I am member of the same organization as Tomáš Protivínský (YEE Publications and Promotion Officer) - Brontosaurus movement. We organize weekend activities and summer camps for young people, where we help to protect nature or conserve historical monuments, after voluntary work we organize interesting programs concerning environmental topics or other topics which are interesting for us and other young people.

Why did you want to become a member of the YEE board?

I would like to contribute to protection of our nature also through projects and work of YEE, because we - young people have now a chance and also responsibility to change a relationship between humans and Earth from parasitic-like to more sustainable and unselfish friendship.

What is your main aim as 2011-2012 Board Member?

I would like to create friendly and inspirative atmosphere in our board team, so that our communication and cooperation woud lead YEE and its projects through this year smoothly. And hopefully we will even improve it!

Which environmental problem worries you the most?

People from western countries waste all possible resources - water, energy, food and they think that it is normal, or even that their life-standard is not high enough. They are not willing to reduce their exaggerated needs because they are too comfortable. Without awareness of the whole society (that there is something bad in their behavior) many projects are only "game on protecting nature".

What is your favorite place in nature?

Small clean rivers and streams, where there is no road around and where only few nature lovers go.
