Where do you live?
I live in Cēsis (small town in Latvia).

What do you do (studies, work, etc)?
I work as a lawyer in my own company. 3 years ago I graduated Legal Science Master's Programme (University of Latvia, Faculty of Law) and also European Studies Master's Programme (University of Latvia, Faculty of Economics and Management).

Which YEE Member Organization are you a member of? What are your organization's main activities?
I am the chairman of association "BALTA DABA". Our main activities are educational open air events about environmental topics. For example boating tours, hiking events and common work in nature with determined environmental purposes.

Why did you want to become a member of the YEE board?
I became a member of the YEE board because it is a great opportunity to be among people who really care about environment, to learn from them, work with them and to get a practical knowledge of managing international network. I also believe that doing my best I can facilitate the development of YEE.

What is your main aim as 2012-2013 Board Member?
My aim is to find new fundraising possibilities for YEE and to promote good practice in fundraising exchange between YEE member organizations.

Which environmental problem worries you the most?
Building dams on rivers.

What is your favorite place in nature?
I feel happy being close to small rivers of Latvia.
