Environmental Center for Protection, Education and Rehabilitation - EPER Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 2009. The creation of this center was supported by a group of young experts with many years of experience in civil society and in the environmental area. Intention of EPER Center is developing a sustainable and healthy environment through inclusion. In this mission EPER Center is fully engaged and ready to cooperate with local, regional and global actors. EPER Center organises activities in the fields of environmental education, capacity building, development of ecotourism and environmental rehabilitation.
We are part of a series of national and international networks related to the environment, contributing with our resources, ensuring objectives and success for each of them. EPER Center collaborates closely with the Open Data Albania, Smart Tourist Albania: Freedom, Legality And Rights in Europe (Flare), Generation Europe: Albania Recyclers Association (ARA), etc. On July 29, 2012 we had become a full member of Youth and Environment Europe (YEE). Since 2010, EPER Center has continued its program to support social, economic and health of informal groups with impact in the environment, with three areas, specifically: Youth, Roma Community and Rural Community. We support new talents and innovation in the environmental area. Since its establishment, EPER Center has made 21 international and national projects. EPER Center has been supported in its activities by World Bank, British Council Albania, Soros Foundation, ABC Foundation, Vodafone Albania Foundation, European Commission, UNFPA, Unicef and UNDP. Media Communication and involvement in media-social forums to promote the aims and activities of the EPER Center is one continuous priority in our work. We have access to 13 national and international media platforms and have so far published over 74 articles on EPER Center and its activities.
