The Botanical garden of the Dnepropetrovsk national university named after Oles Honchar, situated in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, plays an important ecological and social role in society's life, performs the town-planning function in the general infrastructure of the green territories of city. It's a big territory and is a part of the city's system of green plantations of the general use, and it's also recreational zone that executes functions of optimization of ecological conditions of adherent territories.

In addition, the Botanical garden is a scientific and educational base for deepening the knowledge, expansion of world view, ecological education and education of young people and other groups of population of the city and the region.
The Botanical garden was founded in 1930, in 1972 it got status of the naturally-protected object of republican value, in 1996, due to own unique collection of plants, - national value, in 2008 became the participant of Project within the limits of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine and Global Ecological Fund of "Strengthening of management and financial firmness of the national system of nature protection territories in Ukraine", is the member of international organization BGCI.

Now a collection fund counts 3 thousand kinds, varieties, forms and sorts, among which there are plants added to the Red books of Ukraine and Europe, and plants that are under threat of extinction. For example, Stangeria Paradoxa - one of rare ancient plants of world flora, endemic of sea area in the south-east Africa. Feigoa Sellowiana takes place from mountain locality of south Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay and north Argentina. Sprouts in the protected places of subtropical part of Caucasus, on the south of Russia - in the Krasnodar edge, and also in Abhazia, Georgia. Only roses are about 30 kinds and forms, more than 250 sorts, grow in the Botanical garden. In a hothouse and orangery there are 1270 types of tropical and subtropical plants from Africa and South America. Only cactuses are 245 kinds!

Collections of the Botanical garden is unique of its scientific, ecological and social value. Because of this members of our organization consider obligation to help the workers of the Botanical garden to look after plants, to save and fill up the collection.
Today the important tasks of activity of the Botanical garden are maintenance, studying, acclimatization, reproduction and filling up collections of plants, increasing the plants variety of Ukraine by implementing green building of new decorative proof kinds. Execution of these tasks needs realization of reconstruction about the composition of collections and form of their exposition, and in this time it is one of the most important problems of the Botanical garden, in fact without this decision we can lose the greatness of this magic and green island in industrial city.

In this connection Project of organization of territory of Botanical garden was planned and ratified by Department of education and science of Ukraine in 2008, realization of this will allow to make the Botanical garden not only the place of research and educational work but also attractive tourist object of modern city.
This Project consists of creation and reconstruction of such objects that have an ecological and social value:
- Creation and reconstruction of exposition, which includes the territory of arboreal relicts, exposition of fruit plants, Jasmine garden, the territory of "Oak grove", shadow garden, "Architectural garden", rocky garden, system of water objects of regular and landscape style.
- Completions of the major repairs of existent collectional orangery of tropical and subtropical plants and building of new exposition orangery will allow to contain valuable and rare kinds as a source for their further introduction to wide culture.

Our organization Ipso Jure cooperates actively with workers of the Botanical garden within the framework of realization of this project. In August, 2012 a project started under the name "Rebuild green paradise in your city", it's divided under two directions of activity:

1. Calling the attention of population to the problems of the Botanical garden, active educational activity among students, schoolchildren, and also among the population of Dnipropetrovsk by placing the information in newspapers, the Internet, realization of presentations of the Botanical garden.

2. Direct help workers of the Botanical garden on volunteer base. This part includes help to look after rare plants, cleaning up the territory of the Botanical garden, preparation soil for landing the new plants, watering trees, flowers, bushes, work in greenhouse, help the workers in creation of the most close natural environment for rare plants.
