YEE are happy to share with you the last issue of the year filled with exciting news from our network. In these last months of the year we organised the YEE Physical Board Meeting, found inspirations during the youth exchange "Art for the Environment", celebrated local winter traditions and explored topics such as climate change and river protection. The holiday season is right around the corner. YEE wishes you a joyful winter time and a happy New Year! We thank everybody who contributed to another successful year for our network. YEE has had many achievements and we could not have done it without our Board, members and supporters.
We are looking forward to new great projects, inspiration and wonderful time spent in nature in 2016!

The Autumn Council of Members (COMEM) of the European Youth Forum (YFJ) started in Madrid, Spain, on 27th November 2015. Almost 200 delegates from two pillars - the International Non-Governmental Youth Organisations (INGYOs) and the National Youth Councils (NYCs) gathered together to discuss a range of topics connected with youth in Europe.

As usual, the COMEM started with the presentation of the implementation of the Work Plan by the Board and Secretariat of YFJ. The participants had a space to check the publications made by YFJ, as well as to directly address their questions to the representatives of YFJ.

At the beginning of December, leaders of the world countries gathered in Paris to negotiate new climate agreement in the framework of COP21, the summit on climate change. Day before, on 29th November, ecological and social movements organised demonstrations to support public demands. Even though the international climate march in Paris was not authorized for security reasons, other climate marches were held, for example in Berlin, Madrid, Amsterdam, Paris, London and in the Czech republic, in Prague as well.

YEE member organisations Balta Daba (Latvia) and OPE (Portugal) are happy to present their booklet "Youth involvement in river protection - methods"! The publication is the result of their cooperation within the project "RIVER reMEMBERS", which aims to encourage young people's active citizenship for the protection of Europe's rivers. The project involved 10 young people from Latvia and Portugal who made research on dam problems on rivers, organised workshops and local seminars about river protection.
