Haila Amin

Liaison Officer on Biodiversity

Hi! My name is Haila and I come from China.

Haila, tell us a bit more about yourself!

Born with a nomadic Mongolian heritage, I am a true lover of nature. As a dual BA student at Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris, I am dedicated to dive into the world of biology, psychology, politics and economics. My interest in biodiversity started with a class I took at Columbia, where she learned how the complex web of interdependent species in an ecosystem is crucial to nature’s ability to sustain and how phenomena in human society could be understood from a genetic perspective.

As a passionate Tibet explorer, I have developed through my journeys a unique understanding of human-nature interactions on beautiful natural landscapes near Himalayas. My most compelling reason to join YEE is to explore how in a continent with complex national borders like Europe, countries are able to make their efforts on sustainable development on a collaborative basis.
