Hi! My name is Juanan and I am originally from Spain.
Juanan, tell us a bit more about yourself!
I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy and Law at the University of Eastern Finland and I graduated in International Studies from the Carlos III University of Madrid, with an exchange at the University of California, Berkeley.
I joined YEE as an European Solidarity Corps volunteer from February to July 2021 in Prague, and I loved the experience so much that I wanted to continue contributing with the organization as RCP North!
What are some of the causes you care about?
I really care about the protection of el Mar Menor, the largest salt-water coastal lagoon in Europe, that is located in my region. Thanks to a powerful citizens movement, it could soon become the first natural element in Europe that is granted with legal personhood.
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
I love travelling, writing, playing piano and guitar, and practising indoor climbing!

YEE aims to unite environmental youth non-profit organisations in Europe in order to enhance international cooperation, increase knowledge about the climate crisis, raise awareness of environmental problems and to strengthen participation of youth in environmental decision-making.
