The Youth Climate Hub Workshops are aimed at providing participants with practical information and background knowledge, so as to get an overview of the UNFCCC COP process and learn how to effectively use this knowledge as a basis for climate advocacy, as well as contributing to YEE’s efforts to give voice to European youth ambitions during COP26 negotiations.

YCH #1 – Introducing COP26 and discussing its pillars

During the first YCH Workshop, participants will have the chance to refresh their memory and gain further insights on the functioning of UNFCCC COPs and on the nature, content and objectives on COP26 negotiations, learn how to acquire reliable resources and to extract useful information on the topic, with the help of experts in the field. As all Youth Climate Hubs are designed to be as interactive as possible: in order to foster a moment of co-creation and peer-to-peer exchange, participants will conclude the Workshop by engaging in a highly interactive discussion about Youth and Climate issues linked to COP26.

What is UNFCCC COP and how does it work;
The run-up to COP26 and why is UNFCCC COP26 important;
Finding and understanding COP26 resources;
Breaking down COP26 Priorities and objectives;
Final interactive discussion.

YCH #2 – Getting ready for Glasgow: framing expectations and shaping youth ambition

During this second YCH Workshop, participants will:

Gain insight into the world of youth-led advocacy in climate change decision-making in the UN system
Build new skills for advocacy and digital campaigning ahead of COP26 negotiations
Engage in interactive discussions and brainstorming about youth-led advocacy at COP26

YCH #3 – COP26 Policy: challenges and solutions towards a 1.5 C warmer world

During this third YCH Workshop, participants will join a working group to translate youth perspectives and demands into concrete policy proposals ahead of COP26

Discussions will be guided by the YEE Advocacy Team and YEE delegates to COP26. Your contributions will help our Network to finalise the YEE COP26 Policy Brief
