What is the Youth Scientific Advisory Board (YSAB)?

What topics do we cover?
Members are young students or young early career professionals with a background in hard science in one or more of the following fields:
- Agriculture and Food Systems
- Climate Science and Adaptation
- Environmental Management and Conservation
- Energy and Systems
- Geography
- Pollution and Waste Management
- Social and Interdisciplinary Sciences
- Water and Marine Systems
What is the role of YSAB at YEE?
YEE’s Youth Scientific Board (YSAB) provides scientific insights to ensure YEE’s actions, positions, and activities are aligned with the latest research.
Furthermore, the YSAB supports the drafting of position papers to ensure YEE’s advocacy is backed by independent, youth-centred sources and contributes with data and resources for the development of handbooks, articles, and other educational materials.
Joining YEE as a member of the YSAB
This volunteering opportunity is remote, and requires 7-10 hours of work per month on average. The membership of the scientific board runs for 1 year (with possible extension).
